I'm searching for a few ring holders to have around the house: one by my bed, one in each restroom, one by the front door, and one by the kitchen sink. I've searched for a very long time before I found one I liked, so this one is stationed next to my bed. Can you please post pictures of your pretties on their ring holders? If you have the source to your holder, please share as well

I'm not liking the blue. I wanted the white bunnies, but they were sold out. $12. Urban Outfitters, as seen here:
http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=18407635
Oh look, they restocked white. Guess who just spent $12 and $10 for shipping, AGAIN?

Well, that's 2. I still need 3 more. I like those giraffe neck ones, and elephant trunk ones, but I haven't found one that I liked. I also like those tree branch ones, those are adorable!

 Spray painting takes effort. I'm lazy. And I'd probably screw it up!
I saw an antique giraffe one on Etsy once, but it sold before I got a chance to whip out my wallet!

I have my grandmother's crystal ring holder in my bedroom, and I liked it so much I bought a few more for near each sink in the house - not for long-term (or even medium-term) storage, but just to put for a few minutes if I am doing something with wet hands etc so that they are the ONLY places I put my rings if they are off my hands (apart from a ring box in my handbag if they are going to be off for a few hours).

ETA: Sorry, I know this is a "Show me Your...." thread but I don't have any pics of them. I'll try and rustle one up. :)

I don't have a ring holder. ;( I'm concerned it would be a target for cat mischief. So my rings go...in my pocket. Only one in each though, so no rubbing against each other.

I want a rabbit one though, so cute.

PICS, ladies! :naughty: This is on the SMTB side, after all! hehe. Ring holders are only pretty with sparklies on them!

Mrs Jam, omg that's so cute!! They have other animals, too! Silver is so much easier to match around the house than blue is! I love it. And it's cheaper! I love their giraffe one, too! I think I might order them for my engaged/married friends for Christmas, just because it'd be an excuse for me to buy them for myself :naughty: :naughty:

I have a few cats in our house, and one small dog. I'm weary of them bumping into them, too. I won't leave my rings all on there like the photos I posted. I'm just going to use them when I have to put it down quickly, and don't have the time to stick it on my necklace or put it away.

Pockets! You scare me! :errrr: :errrr: Livin' on the wild side!

Yes, ditto, scared they'd get tipped over or something. I have my necklace for "medium-term", and my ring boxes for long-term.

I'll post some pics this week. I'm so lazy these days; sometimes I'm too lazy to even log in! I've had my upgrade for over two weeks now and haven't posted pics, and I desperately need to change my avatar, too. I need a swift kick in the derrière!

I really recommend the Umbra Zoola ring holders! I can't believe how inexpensive they are. I would have paid a lot more for mine - I'm that impressed! The bunny is my favorite, but the elephant is a close second. They make great gifts!

By the way, I couldn't stop myself from ordering the bunnies from Urban Outfitters! I'm going to end up with ring holders in every room of the house!

Which "vintage" vanity tray? I love how everything is called vintage now, don't you? HAHA! It's like.. no. I see people post pics of their vintage inspired stuff (decorations, tshirts, hair styles, whatever) on Facebook, titled "vintage", and I want to correct em!

hahah yes! so annoying! That's why I put "vintage" instead of vintage! I just found out that MIL used to have a vintage shop back in the day and she would get tons of jewelry! WHY OH WHY did I not meet DH sooner!

The brass kitty was a souvenir from Spain from FI. Its one of my favorite things. I might be more attached to the ring holder than my e-ring. Kitty lives next to the bathroom sink. The Henriot Quimper ring dish reads, "plus je connais les hommes, plus j'aime mon chien" (the more I know men, the more I like my dog) ;P That one lives by the kitchen sink

This is on the shelf above my desk:

img_3308.jpg

I also have little soap-dish like things for them in the bathroom and by my bed. One has a bunny on it and one has Mr. and Mrs. MyFiance'sLastName - given by a well-intentioned friend who didn't know I wasn't changing my last name. I also have a shiny kitty but I don't keep rings on it anymore because its tail is so skinny they all just clack together and get scratched up. I'll try to remember to get pics of them.

I am TOTALLY buying some of those standing up bunny holders though!

madelise - Is that a sapphire ring on the left? Where did you get that setting from? I want something similar for an oval sapphire I bought last year... We need some close-ups of your collection!

Ooh, tuffy, I love that cat's tail!!

Distracts, where'd you get that hand from? That's so awesome! It looks like a department store display.

Stargurl - yes, it's a sapphire ring. It's vintage, from the 80's. It belonged to my paternal grandmother, who gifted it to my mom on her wedding day. I'm sure anyone can make a setting like that, especially since it's back in style due to the Princess Di/ Kate Middleton's ring.

I love the bunnies! I just got a ring holder necklace that's pretty neat.

Wishbone shaped, silver, bought on Etsy. I posted about it over in LIW, but I'll redo it over here to go with this topic!

I don't know if any of you have been paying much attention, but lots of ladies have been purchasing T&Co charm enhancer necklaces to wear and be able to have a safe place to put their rings (on the clasp) when they can't wear them.
http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.aspx?fromGrid=1&sku=24945561&mcat=&cid=&search_params=s+1-p+1-c+-r+-x+-n+6-ri+-ni+0-t+charm+enhancer&search=1

I LOVED the idea, but not the price ($100 for silver). I'm also NOT a name brand girl. I've been casually looking for alternatives for awhile. The other day, Mico shared a link with me for another company that makes ring holder necklaces.
http://emilyc.com/

I loved the idea of these, but the price was still more than I was happy about for silver (closer to $200). I kind of liked the idea of her design better in a way, though, because you looped the ring onto the pendant instead of through a clasp. I also liked that it was a necklace/pendant when the ring wasn't on it instead of just a circle. Of all her designs, my favorite is actually the butterfly because I liked how the space that the ring goes through looks like a butterfly's antennae, but knew it would be difficult (ie: impossible) to find a cheaper version. I also worried that the butterfly would look to cutesy/young.
http://emilyc.com/shop/the-butterfly.html

Some other LIWs were really liking the wishbone. I didn't care for Emily C's version, but thought the design was simple enough that it would be easily made elsewhere (and hopefully for cheaper!). Mico linked to some she found on Etsy and I searched further for a style I liked. I found one that I really liked a lot and decided to order it! It came in today and it's PERFECT!

The one I purchased:
https://www.etsy.com/transaction/106271061 -- $18 + $2.50 shipping = $20.50 total! Woot!

The chain is nice, the pendant is the perfect size and done in a matte finish which I totally love. I couldn't be happier. The design is brilliant, I love being able to have a pendant that looks like a pendant but can be used to hold my ring when needed WITHOUT having to take the necklace off to get the ring on.

How it works (scroll down to the second set of drawings and video for how the wishbone style works):

Without further ado...pictures!

I love the brass kitty! I also have a kitty by my kitchen sink. My sister got it for me on my birthday. I need more ring holders though. I like this thread! :)
