Also, my baby girl (now 30!) let me share her pretty GSS pendant (she okay'd me sharing this picture). She is not into jewelry, but she loved the GSS I had and bought one for herself as her first jewelry splurge. I am so glad she did.
So beautiful! I have a lovely floating Akoya from Andrew Moline, but if I acquire world enough and time (and money, unfortunately) I'd love a floating WSS. Your daughter's necklace is an inspiration! #goals

You may want to check out OceanRhyme on Etsy. She carries reasonable pearls and both high quality costume and karat gold - that is where Katie and I bought our GSS. Mom was so cute, I bought her a lovely Bee pin with a GSS and a nice heavy plating, which she promptly and accidentally ran through the washer and dryer. She called me and was so impressed that the pin was as beautiful as ever (and the pearl) LOL.

Thanks for the tip MakingTheGrade! I bought one and it works well. I need to order another now, lol. Today I'm wearing some chunky metallic edisons, some keshi and ripple pearl earrings and a mixed freshadama and a lavender FW bracelet.

I've been digging the pearls lately. These are freshies/Freshadama worn with a fun spinel and mixed pearl necklace that I found on Etsy.
I am looking to build my Akoya collection now. Might start with studs or drop earrings and go from there!

I’ll have to come back with some of my necklaces and bracelets but here’s my two favorite unconventional pearl pieces! A Tahitian spider pendant/pin and a south sea pendant with a MOP octopus.
