Show me your large (5+ carat) diamonds! Bonus points for antique cuts

Hello all!

I’m trying to make up my mind on a size for a custom cut antique cushion. I know when you get into the larger sizes the difference in visual size per carat is smaller, so I would love to see examples from those of you who have stones in the 4-5+ carat range! I am going back and forth between a 6 and 7 ct elongated but chubby OMC, and wondering if the 14% price difference will be worth it for the extra carat. Thanks so much in advance!

Consider putting it off for a year or two?
Currently price per carat on 4ct is more than double 1ct price per carat.
It will settle somewhere between half and 3/4's per carat.

2, 3 and 4 carat cost the same amount per carat.

Any time - they will not fall by any more than half at wholesale and there are dealers on PriceScope with the lowest prices and others with the very best stones.

The prices on PS are pretty low, but for the drop shipped stones be wary of internal graining / striae.

She can never replace my earth mined OEC Bubbalah just because I love knowing she had all this history before me and also the journey of how I ultimately ended up getting her. She holds a special place in my heart.

Having said that I love Beatrice because she is beautiful and I also am a solitaire girl at heart. Which was the main reason I ended up getting her. I wanted a solitaire but I did not want to reset Bubbalah because I LOVE her as she is.

So now I feel I have the best of both worlds. And while I rarely wear any rings right now (in the middle of RT and keeping my hands in a splint and constantly moisturized in gloves under the splint) I still enjoy her and one day I hope to be back to wearing my rings

Mine is made with a 5 carat round brilliant mined diamond (I should have asked Missy if it was okay to pattern my ring after Bubbalah - I wasn’t on Pricescope much when I had it made but had seen a picture and always kept it in case I could have such a ring. Mine is my Independence ring after a very, very difficult marriage and a very hard divorce so it makes me super happy every time I wear it. Hoping Missy doesn’t mind). I bought my first lab today (an EC) so am interested to see how I like it. Have a great day!

Very helpful. I am almost done with my natural collection and will be turning to mostly labs for future projects. There are settings I’ve always wanted but they look best with large rocks so patience is a virtue.

Like your screenshot says, I can’t wait til we get LGD set in silver. Funny we haven’t seen it yet.
