Thank you!

Not really. The purplish red Burmese (middle bottom) is new so I‘m still getting to know it. I wear the 3 ct cushion (right) the most as it’s fairly low profile but when I want red I go for the smaller Tanzanian vivid red (middle top).

Which one do you like most?

I love the cushion - the setting is a dream for me :kiss2:

Thank you! I wear that ruby the most often. Being the biggest (in my collection) helps.

I only have this lil guy. It's a 5mm untreated winza from Dana @ MasterCuts. Have had it for 2 years now (!) and still can't decide how to set it. I think I need to add more rubies to my collection so I can build a matchy set.

Love this, been looking for a Winza

This is my Ruby. It’s a very different setting that I haven’t seen before.

Rough eyeclean ruby with a drop of water. One side slighly polished. Can become a cabochon (star ruby) or an eyeclean facet ruby. I tend bit more to the cabochon as it would be kind of wasting the star if facet.

And continuing the rough ruby theme, here are some recent arrivals, 3 ruby crystals from Tanzania:
Tanzanian rubies 1.JPG Tanzanian rubies 2.JPG

The smallest crystal with the sharpest form is from Winza, the other two are from Morogoro and are an intense vibrant fuschia colour in person, more so than the Winza crystal. They also light up like Christmas tree lights under a LWUV source!

The largest crystal is 11mm across.

Unheated ruby with a small blue sapphire core.

Tabular, flat, slightly alluvial shaped ruby crystal with "silk" inclusions (blue shining in sunlight) around the clean trigonal center.
