I've had Gypsy rings on the brain lately. Please share photos of your gypsy rings, as well as finger size, width of the band, and any stats you can/care to share about the stones. Antique, traditional, modern, diamond, colored stones, show me what you've got!!

Here's one I'm absolutely obsessed with, to get the ball rolling:

I have that one pinned too and have also been lusting! It is absolutely incredible...

I LOVE a good gypsy ring! Here's mine: .9ct E VS2 AVR with 2 x 9 point AVRs - D SI2 and E SI1 - set in platinum. Central stone is 6mm in diameter, so I'm guessing the ring overall is 8mm. It's a size 6.75.

Here is mine! 14k Rose Gold gypsy ring. It has a solid back. Center stone is .84 or 6mm AVR moissanite. The two sides are 4mm each AVR moissanites from Jon at Distinctive Gem. Ring size is 5.25. The band is THICK! I’m not sure on the mm of the total width. Made by Daniel M jewelry

I have that one pinned too

I think I have a problem saving settings ideas for all of the gems I haven’t bought yet

I'm in the reverse position of having loose stones I don't know what to do with, and thinking about 3 stone or solitaire gypsy rings. But I've also never commissioned a ring, and I honestly don't know if I'm up to the task.

I had a pretty little Ruby and a few super-ideal MRB melee sitting around so I had DK make up this 14kt Gypsy ring for me:

This another favorite DK ring; while not a true Gypsy ring since the diamond is not flush-mounted, it is rather Gypsy-esque in form -- 14kt YG with 0.65ct super-ideal MRB set in Platinum.

Commissioning is really intimidating! I do have a few under stones that I feel so indecisive about! I totally get it…

The black came out bolder than either I or DK expected but it has faded over time. This photo is from when I first received it.

I have always love this ring!

Thank you! I love it too, even though it isn't what I expected. Here is the inspiration. Getting the antiquing right just didn't happen. But we tried! I definitely won't live long enough for it to get to this point naturally.

Interesting...my antiquing came RIGHT off after a few weeks of wear...I may send my ring back, I wish the blackening had the same staying power!

Try black rhodium if you want black. I think that’s what mine is. It is definitely going away and I don’t wear it all the time But not sure what else to try.

These are all lovely, but could we call them flush set please? I know everyone is using the common term because it’s well known, but it’s considered a slur.

The name refers to the shape as much as the setting style. Not sure how to work around that - tho I'm happy to try.

Is dome band a good name for the shape of the ring?

I call them dome rings. I love the design, but I don't have any. I really love the way they look when they're done in a 3 stone style

I remember seeing your ring in the DK thread! I think it's stunning, as was the inspiration ring. Your collection overall is just #goals.

I have two that I consider a gypsy setting! One is my transitional 1.5ct diamond solitaire, the other is a 5 stone gypsy or bombe ring. Maybe that shouldn’t be included here? I love both but the 5 stone doesn’t get out as much these days! 88AD7D4E-86D0-4E2A-844D-62FC1CE5E426.png E433B8DF-C565-47E3-BA98-82683E38C277.png 3FCEC880-E6E1-4CA5-8302-1310ECEADD98.png 228FDED5-032E-48B4-8CF7-25A172CF9ADA.png

Thank you! I took a big risk for me getting the solitaire, but it paid off! I love it and wear it daily. I like that it’s different and so comfortable to wear!
