Does anyone flank your e-ring with two wedding bands and have pics to share? I''m thinking of doing this myself but am concerned that it may take away from my main stone instead of enhancing it and I would like to see how others have gone about it. Also, please post how many mm the bands are if you know.

Thanks for your help!

I thought about this for my ring, too, but decided that it would look overdone. I think our rings have enough going on and take up considerable real estate on our fingers

I would--and am--staying with one band. Let me know what you decide.

I got engaged a long time ago, so my rings are an old style, but I think too many diamonds do take away from the center stone and I can''t wait to pull my rings apart. I loved all of this on my hand way back then, but I don''t anymore. I don''t think you can see my pear very well in the sea of diamonds surrounding it.

Yes you can Gemgirl! Your rings are beautiful.

I almost went with the solitaire and two wedding bands but decided on the halo. I love this look though. Gemgirl, your pear is so beautiful.

I really like the look of two bands, but I do feel it takes away from the diamond some. It''s more of an overall blingy look, not necessarily a look that emphasizes the center stone.

Here''s mine, not flanked on either side but still 2 bands. (Sorry if that is not what you''re looking for, though!)

I have loved looking at your set! I love that the gold flashes and shines as much as the stones.

I like the look!!!

Thanks, everyone. Appreciate the help!

Marian - I know what you mean. Thing is, I had my e-ring modified so that my wedding band would sit up under the head flush. It makes for a slight eye sore on the other side because there is a huge bridge boosting it up. Then again, I''m probably the only one who notices :-) Ill have to post some pics when I get home from dinner.

Happy weekend, all!

Here is mine! bands are .5 cttw each, center stone is 1.6, e-ring is 2 cttw.

I love the look, and you could always just wear one band if you are in the mood for less bling. Also, you could stack just the 2 bands together, or add other fun bands to switch things up. Sorry, I don''t have pics

Pics would be great! Let me know if you would like to see a pic of my wedding set so you can see how I worked with it--if you haven''t already seen it

i LOVE the look of "sandwiching" an e-ring with wedding bands, and i plan on doing this for my future set as well! depending on how thick the bands are, i don''t think it takes away from the main stone. here''s a pic of Ashley Judd''s set (i wish it was mine!), and i just adore the look...even with the gaps. honestly though, it''d be hard to take away from that giant rock!

Here''s mine. My grandmother always wore two bands (her e-ring was also an emerald cut), so when I got married I decided to do the same (one of the bands I wear was one of her bands).

I wear 2 under and 1 over the er - what I love about the look is if I ever feel it is overshadowing the er - I can just wear one band with it for awhile.

Those are NICE!! I think I''m gonna start thinking about doing a sandwiched e-ring as well! These are sooo purdy!!!

I wear two bands, however they are not flanking. I saw that you mentioned you were concerned about the gap..I have a gap. Funny thing, I have actually grown fond of it. I think the gap actually helps keep that line of demarcation between the e-ring and wedding bands.

See avatar for photo ( I know it is blurry, I desperately need to take additional photos).

P.S. You set is beautiful! Looks perfect on your hand.

here is an old plain set of mine

I don''t wear it like this all the time, but here is a pic of my solitaire (the band is 2.5 mm wide) flanked with my two rose gold micropave bands (1.8 mm wide):

One of my favorite looks on PS. Vesper-Your stone is soooo beautiful. So perfect and icy and white! I LOVE it.

Thank you ladies for your compliments on my pear. I''m sorry I didn''t see this sooner. I haven''t been on the computer much lately since I''ve been nursing two dislocated ribs.

Gemgirl, sorry to hear about the dislocated ribs. Hope you get well soon.

Here is my RB halo flanked with 2 skinny eternity bands. I never wear them like this - too much bling even for me

but took these shots for fun.

Thanks so much FSU! I just love your ring too - I am such a sucker for a cushion in a halo - yours is so blingy and delicate, and I love the way your rings look together.

Occasionally, I will wear my two mini semi-eternities on either side of my e-ring.

I''m back! Whew...took an unexpected trip out of town for a few days and haven''t had a chance to post the pics.

Anyway, I see some new additions from all of you...thank you! It''s really helping me get a better idea.

FYI, my plan would be to still wear my current rings as they are on a daily basis. But possibly do two wedding bands on special occasions and/or when I''m wearing a large cocktail ring on my right hand. I think the bands will need to be thinner than my current eternity band though so that it''s not "too much". Thoughts on that?

Also, I will attach some pics now of the modified bridge part of my ring. I like "my view" but not really the view from everyone else. Again, I''m probably the only one who thinks about it but here come the pics for your feedback and ideas. Thanks again
