Here are my studs from WF! 1.2ct each, D, VVS1 & VVS2 in low profile 4 prong basket setting.
I love them but look too huge to me (as it is my first time to wear studs in this size!) Shall I get another pair of smaller stones? 0.8ct each? :lol:

I started with about .80 each, then 1.15 each, now 1.28 each...and I could go one step bigger! Trust me, that is a nice size and absolutely not too big. We have members here with 2-3 cts per ear! Yours are gorgeous!!! :love:

I’m going to get a hot cup of coffee and sit down to look through all 63 pages of this thread! :D

Want to reset some studs my MIL gave me and I’m looking for inspiration. No papers, I’m estimating .6-75 B7EC13ED-945D-43B9-A487-7A8C8EC223A5.jpeg
ctw? All I know is I want rose gold, not bezel set, something more interesting that 4 or 6 prongs.

Please send me inspiration, pricescopers!! I’m in no rush. Want to find the perfect setting to make these my everyday earrings. 0E920B4A-F42A-4E8C-A8AF-D8C88C296C1D.jpeg

These are beautiful and great size. You definitely don’t want to go smaller. DDS will set in and you will want to go bigger

Sorry I don’t mean to be annoying! But I got a better shot. Any guess as to size of the studs? My ring is a 1.51 antique cushion so probably faces up closer to a 1.25 round brilliant? 82F71D03-EDE9-4CCC-AE2C-3E6849D9BF0D.jpeg
I just love your everyday set. So classic

You guys are right, I am already suffering from DSS! Now I am thinking 'hmm...a bit larger stones would be nicer, like 1.5-1.6ct each!' If I were living in US I would have seriously considered an upgrade already!

I see an upgrade in your future. Anything between 3-4 ctw range is sweet spot for me. I consider them the perfect size.

I love seeing everyone’s diamond studs. How do you dress yours up? Do you have earring jackets? I just created a thread on this because I’m curious.

500F9776-A025-4716-A631-45FF6C74DD89.jpeg First post! DH recently gifted me my very first pair of diamond studs for our anniversary. These are from BN — .9 ctw, 14k WG, guardian (lapousette) backs. I color, ideal cut, VVS2. I went back and forth for months about whether to get martinis or baskets, but ultimately went with 4-prong baskets. I’m still not totally sure! I sometimes think these may be too big for everyday wear (especially working in healthcare), but that may just be because DSS hasn’t set in yet! Love looking at everyone’s beauties <3

@shinyprettythings How are you adjusting? Tell me about the backs! Are they manageable? I’m tempted to upgrade soon, and I’m curious about how to set mine....

I also want to know if DSS has set in yet. ;-)

I have big earlobes so even my 3 ctw doesn’t look huge; one day I’ll go for 4 ctw (stares dreamily into the distance). 8DF564B2-01B0-45BA-9B98-51F9A83EB47B.jpeg

@Mreader Your earrings are beautiful. I have 3.04 studs....so the same size...I love the size...so I won’t be upgrading..When I first got them I thought they were too big...:lol:
