All of yours are beautiful :) Mine are much more modest but I love them, .16 ctw, they really shine from afar :) (I don’t remember all the specs but they were G VSI I think). I wouldn’t exchange them for a bigger size, maybe in a couple of years (I’m 29) C28FE91A-2FC3-470C-B7F9-5C3BBE1CC7F1.jpeg

I‘m thinking of getting these .028 each paved diamonds as a present for a teenager, first diamond studs, I don’t have a huge budget but she has small earlobes and I figure she can always use them as a second hole or pass them on when she’s older, what do you think? The specs are lower than mine (so less expensive) but they are really shiny, I’ m happy about that. I bought them with an exchange policy to be able to see them in natural light and all, and they do shine 3D31ACC9-61C5-4766-A7CC-E287E25FDC0F.jpeg 529030E9-BED1-43DC-931A-8DF632DB5FBE.jpeg

I forgot to mention I bought them at 140€, does that seem reasonable?

I hope I'm not too late with this reply but what and incredibly thoughtful gift! It's a wonderful idea as they will last for yeas and years.

This thread is making me want to rock my studs. Quarantine or no quarantine! Haha.

Ha! I started this thread and just realized I haven't post my latest and (hopefully) LAST upgraded studs!

These are from Whiteflash, 2.55 ctw, H VS2 ACAs in low platinum crown settings.

Hi DS,
I’m going to be getting diamond studs that are just slightly smaller than yours, 2.15 tcw.

I’m debating on whether to get the 4 or 6 prong stud setting. How do you like your 6 prong? Do you feel like it showcases your stones better? What were some of your top motivators of getting the 6 prong?

I’m getting mine set at IDJ, and Yekutiel is advising against the 6 prong, but I feel Ike it adds such great symmetry to it. Do you feel like the spin less on your earlobe with a 6 prong?
Thanks.

My new diamond studs, and I am head-over-heels in love :kiss2:

Diamonds are from BN, 0.86 ctw, H/VS1 and ideal cut. Customised setting by my local jeweller, 6-prong in 18K YG.

I don't think I will ever take them off

Here are mine! I'm just really learning about this stuff and these were bought at a b&m store on sale, not the greatest but I may upgrade someday. Largest are 0.25 carat I/J I-something 10k bezels, middles are 0.10 carat I/J I something bezels also, smallest are smaller than 0.10 miracle set, all the specs the same. I'd like to get another bezel set pair so I have three matching pairs. Cool thing though is the middle pair and one of the smallest all fluoresce, and the middle pair are also phosphorescent!!

You decided to go with the .86? I'm waiting on a pair from them as well. I'm so nervous.

500F9776-A025-4716-A631-45FF6C74DD89.jpeg First post! DH recently gifted me my very first pair of diamond studs for our anniversary. These are from BN — .9 ctw, 14k WG, guardian (lapousette) backs. I color, ideal cut, VVS2. I went back and forth for months about whether to get martinis or baskets, but ultimately went with 4-prong baskets. I’m still not totally sure! I sometimes think these may be too big for everyday wear (especially working in healthcare), but that may just be because DSS hasn’t set in yet! Love looking at everyone’s beauties <3

Thank you =)2
I have followed your journey a bit, and had similar thoughts on size vs all other factors, but in the end decided to go with slightly smaller stones, that just felt right. Partly considering colour/clarity and cut, but mostly they just sang to me from the pics somehow. And in the end they still are bigger than what I had planned from the very beginning, before seeing all the beautiful eye candy on PS :kiss2:

And I am so very happy with my choice, they will be my everyday ear-wear and for me, in my life and work, this is just the right size. And the sparkle...omg! I would never have such lovelies if not for this community, I learned so much from reading here, a big thanks to everyone!

Measurements are 4.84 x 4.83 x 3 and 4.89 x 4.86 x 2.97 mm.

Yep, I’m going to go with the .86 ctw pair. I think if in the future they turn out to be too small, I’ll upgrade or get a new pair and make a necklace or something else out of these.

My brand new 1.09 ctw j si2/k vs2 martini setting. Unfortunately the martini setting isn’t working out for me :(. They’re going to far into my hole. Sending them back to JA soon for a basket setting and la pousette backing. 0EA6CEC5-1CA0-436C-8D12-0613F68D778A.jpeg 4130B391-96A7-44C6-A16A-92D85766F2EF.jpeg /

Got back my studs today. Reset in 4 prong basket and la pousette backs! Couldn’t be happier!! La pousette is pretty tricky to get on tho. B2F0AC09-98D3-4A70-A727-C5EC3D8CF71A.jpeg

New 1.25ctw L-M OEC studs in a milgrained bezel. They’re an upgrade to my 0.84ctw OEC studs that are going to be set in a three stone ring. I love the size increase! I loved my old studs too and thought they were a good size for casual daily wear, but this size is just a bit blingier. I have them set with screw backs and generally leave them in 24/7.

They are from OWD and we’re already set in a yg 6 prong that was pretty but not my style. I went back to my favorite wg bezel and no regrets. The yg made the stones look almost light yellow, but they’re much whiter in the wg (though still clearly warm). First three pictures in the new setting, then next two in the original and with my old studs. Sorry the ear shot is terrible

I thought I'd add a pic of my new studs. (I mentioned they were coming in my post above). I was a little worried they might look too big and not enough of a graduated look but now that I have them I'm quite happy! Stats for this second pair .61ctw, E color, 4.33mm, VVS1, platinum martini setting with la pousette backs. These are my first martini setting and I really love how they just float on my ear. I'm tempted to reset my first pair into the martini style...hmmmm

These are so pretty! I am wanting some bezel OMC or cushions in yellow gold from Adam next. These are a great size!

I think they're the perfect size! I loved my 0.8ct and they were a great size for every day wear, but I always thought they were a bit smaller than I'd choose if I had to do it again. I love this size.

Hi everyone. I’m tempted by these 1 ctw G colour VS studs. They are 3400 AUD and in 18 carat white gold. Are they a good deal do you think? I have a choice of 4 or 6 prong and am not sure.... thinking 4?
