What does everyone think about the Tiffany Victoria diamond studs? I'm considering them in the mini size (I like tiny studs). They would be my first real diamond earrings.

I love mine--version with colored stone. Kama S has these (straight up lol) and has stated she adores them. My Vancouver pal has them in the large size and she loves them as well. They are classic and elegant and beautifully made.

cheers--Sharon

I always wanted princess cut studs..I know they’re not that popular here but I already have two pairs of diamond round studs and a pair of bezeled moissanite which I love. I didn’t want to spend a ton to buy the princess cut because I wasn’t that sure that I would love them. I’m kind of obsessed about getting a pair though.. I decided to get square moissanite studs and a pendant in January thinking it would scratch my itch without paying a crazy amount. They weren’t cheap but nowhere what diamonds would cost..Anyway......I tried to be happy with them but the cut was different and they didn’t look like diamonds and what I envisioned them to be. It bugged me that I paid so much for them and CZ’s were more realistic and sparkly..total waste of money..In comes my son and daughter-in-law..My grandson is wearing I’m going to be a big brother T-shirt..I’m so excited! So when I hear my daughter in law telling my son that he should have bought her the moissanite princess studs..instead of the round ones..In the glow of being a grandma for the second time I ran to my pouch and offered her my princess cut moissanite studs and pendant. She was sooooo excited..I was excited I didn’t throw my money away because she loves them. Now I’ve added princess cut earrings to my list for January in addition to my diamond flower cluster ring. I know Christmas is four months away but would love to know if anyone has them and can offer me guidance so I educate myself before I’m ready to buy them..:roll2: Please show me yours!

These aren’t mine, but I thought I’d post to help those who might be researching for a purchase and are looking for size perspective. In fact, I’ve come back to this thread countless times to visualize different carat sizes on different lobe sizes, and am hoping these pics might help someone else too.

It’s really hard to actually see what they will look like on your own ear because everyone’s lobes are so different. Mine look smaller because my lobes are generous..not Dumbo generous..but enough that I still have my lobe showing around the studs. If my daughter in law puts them in they go past her lobe and look huge. I’m so jealous of dainty lobes!

The real close up pics of my princesses.

0.5&0.51 ct E Si1
Chevron settings and friction backs.
They were initially in basket settings and the prongs were more button like. These chevron settings accentuates the corned of the princesses and potentially make the princess look bigger! Yay!

I love the facets on your princesses! The cut is great! Do you know what the cut is?

I am not sure of what the cut is. These were bought pre PS, and from what i can tell, most likely 3 chevrons, not sure if it could be 4. I do not have any magnification to tell you more. The last pic is from the jeweller that changed the setting for me. Sorry, I couldn't be of any more help.

Chevrons on princess.jpg
here is a graphic on what are chevrons on a princess.
2 chevrons mean that there are slower/ broader flashes of light.
3 chevrons mean slightly faster flashes of light
4 chevrons lots of fast splintery flashes.

I guess similar to comparing an OEC to an MRB.

So here are the 2 settings side by side.
After= V Claw or Chevron settings Before= Basket settings with 'button' like prongs.
after.jpg Princess before in baskets.jpg

Hope that helps with the settings of princesses.

2.52 ct, H, VS1, square emerald
2.45 ct, H, VS1, square emerald

It’s hard to capture these earrings! I posted a photo of the earrings next to my engagement ring for a sense of scale. My center stone is 6.33 ct, H, VS2.

I feel sad for my other earrings because I have not worn anything but these gorgeous studs since getting them!!! I think they’re just right size and am definitely glad my husband didn’t go smaller or even larger! They were the most perfect anniversary gift from my sweet man.

Thank you for posting this! I had no idea and love the education. I have the jumbo backs and they're so pretty; look like flowers.

Okay, here are the backs! Not the best photo; sorry these are off my phone in my office!

These are my first studs so am pretty clueless. My daughter has .50 ctw studs and they have tiny little screws. Mine don't screw on and at first I was going to change them to screws however...I tried to sleep with my earrings on and they're too big to do so, they poked my ears! So I'm glad I can easily take them on and off. With that being said, my husband knows I tend to "lose" things and thinks I should redo with the screws. Anyone have feedback on the options? I think it's odd that my daughter's petite studs have the screws and mine don't....any reason that anyone can give? I guess I could always ask my jeweler as well!

Although these don't screw on, they feel very secure and I have so far not been "afraid".
