Bonus points if it's from DK. I'm considering engraving this band and adding antiquing for an oxidized looked. I was curious to see all the different types out there. I'm looking for inspiration! Grazie!

Here are my inspirations for what I’m thinking and I’m stuck between floral or scroll. But after seeing Elizat’s Tsavorite it looks like maybe a combo of those is possible. DK Said that if I’m feeling brave I can just have him give the band to his best engraver and have the engraver come up with the prettiest thing he thinks possible. But I don’t think I’m that brave! Lol.

Also, I am wondering about this beautiful band @rcjtraveler and if there’s a difference between standard engraving and almost what looks like an embossed or raised look in the gold on yours. The same seems to be true for @MakingTheGrade ’s new band. Is it as if the material of the part of the gold is higher than the other part? Or is that an illusion? Also, I’m posting a picture of the band that I had done because I never posted it once I had it in hand.

Ah ok! So the terminology is different. Another question if you don't mind - does carving affect the weight so was the band lighter after the work was done?

I know van craeynest uses die casting for their rings.
My recent vintage orange blossom rings I think also used casts which maybe explains the 3d/raised effect?

top: van craeynest
middle: Traub orange blossom
bottom: 1940's vintage band


I also have this vintage ring, no idea how they achieve these details, I'm guessing casting as well though it looks less "raised" and more like metal was carved/removed so I dunno

It actually feels heavier than my other bands. Not sure if carved is an official term lol, just what I asked for and he understood.
