Diamond & Opal Earrings by DK

I had some very old earrings in my jewelry box and asked David Klass to reset them into convertible earrings. Not “top grade” gems, but they’re gifts from family with sentimental value. I asked DK if they were even worth resetting and he replied with a CAD

He bezeled the studs and created removable opal drops in 14k WG.

Here was the initial concept. I asked him to change it up to make the drops more “dangly”/have more movement.

Beautiful and I really, really love the way the opals are set with the two prong bezel. Love how the bottom of the opals are not beveled in front. Genius!

Thank you @lambskin !! I found some opal earrings online that were set in a similar fashion & sent as inspiration…so that’s all DK & team!

Thank you so much @Autumn in New England !!! I am very pleased with how they turned out, especially since both earrings were sitting in my jewelry box neglected for years! So happy you think the diamonds are nice - I have no idea what the specs are since they were gifted to me by my father over 15 years ago (pre-PS addiction )...I may have to take a closer look lol.
