Good thread...but it pertains to antique-cut stones only, it seems. My ring is an antique setting...but the stone is not.

Mine from single stone.

Kelpie, your ring (your whole set, in fact) has just jumped to the top of my "rings I envy on PS" list. It's stunning!

OP, you might want to browse Lang Antiques for a variety of antique styles: http://www.langantiques.com/search/all-rings

Thanks, Selkie! We're name sisters too. :)

Lots of people make antique inspired rings with milgrain, ect... but van Craeynest and Single Stone are the only ones I know of where they actually look like antiques despite being new. I think it is in the alloys used and the method of fabrication not just the design. Even jewelers inspect my ring and say it's such a cool antique setting and in great shape.

Wow, Ludmila, both amazing rings!

Any tip for photographing rings? I tried (see my pink rose pic) but that was the best I could do. I set it on the macro setting/indirect sunlight. Help! :wavey:

Thank you! That's all I do but I take it far enough away and crop crop crop using paint. My husband got me a fancy camera and it just stumps me.
