@ madelise, thanks for the tips, I'm excited to try the LiveDiamond app.
@ athenaworth, I love both the before and after pics, such a beautiful stone and gorgeous settings!
@ Autumnovember, such a great pic and awesome set as well!
I'm trying to decide between 2 or 2.5 cts and these pics help a bunch. I ordered a 2.5 cz ring as well......I realize it won't be exactly the same as a real 2.5ct stone, but hopefully will give me better idea than just holding the stone by my finger.
Hi mine is a 2.6 on a size 5. Dont know how to post a link from my ipad, sry. I think its a great idea to try on a cz ring to get an idea before you buy your diamond. FYI - When I was looking at loose stones, the jeweler told me the diamond would appear 15-20% larger when set, so he plopped it in a setting and the stone actually did look much bigger. Just for reference, my sister has a 3 ct cz ring she uses for travel (3ct cz's are usually 9mm and the 2.5ct ones are usually 8.5mm) - I compared my 2.6ct diamond (which is 8.8mm) to my sister's 3ct cz (9mm) - they look virtually the same. Most 2.5ct well cut diamonds are around 8.8mm. What I am saying is the 2.5ct cz you ordered will most likely be smaller than an actual diamond of that size. Hope that helped!
Since you are looking at stones between 2.00 and 2.50, here is a compromise of a 2.22 (with sidestones of course) but hopefully it gives you a bit of a reference.
