Center is 2.97 carats and it would take up my whole finger! But I love her.

This is true! I was seriously deliberating over this glorious (but too ornate for everyday me) piece 4C8B5940-4031-4E48-876D-B3BE9CB3AEE0.jpeg
and just as I nerved myself up to contact the vendor, it got sold. It was on my watch list for MONTHS before that!
Pretty much everything I love makes no sense for the rest of my life - I favour low profile close fitting jewellery and am a little self conscious about my ~1ct OEC in my social circle but I love big solitaires as well as elaborate deco rings like above and also this one
    6B57C958-9DE7-4711-AFD5-9C0157617189.jpeg
I think I could find a way to make it work for either of these big babes tho  were I ever to have the welcome opportunity 13178C56-1A84-49CF-A619-D59017A0E9B1.jpeg 0101F362-FC65-4CA4-9F9E-EFFFDAC7F13A.jpeg

Unfortunately no pics (I had phone problems on my trip) but at the field Museum Graingier hall of gems, there was a beautiful tsavorite garnet diamond and rose gold ring, in a kind of swirly organic design. I'd love it, but of course would be over the top to wear for 99% of my life. I think the same could be said for some of the diamond necklaces with multiple stones they had on display as well.

eta some pricescoper took a pic of it in the thread above! It's actually yellow gold. Great minds think alike. [IMG]

This one was on Hancock’s Diamonds IG - they have beautiful pieces. Isn’t it incredible? I was reminded strongly of DS2006’s amazing asscher when I saw this.

I always wondered if that ring was as pretty outside of his professional photos. You proved it to be so!
    Luck, lucky woman.

03F2FC0C-130A-4F27-AC0C-29406BB524C8.jpeg For someone who isn’t meant to be spending any more money on jewellery.............
I have wanted one of these, totally ridiculous and totally impractical rings for years. I think it held the record for “longest item kept in my eBay watch list”.
I’ll blame the originator of this thread for giving me the impetus.
It’s a very stylish knuckle buster I think. It’s a Lalique chameleon on sterling silver double ring. Crazy.
I’ll post more pics when it arrives.

How would these look with my mom uniform of jeans and t-shirts? One could argue they would be fabulous..... :twisted2:

Tonks you could totally rock those. I love diamond drop earrings. How could they not go with everything?

I found a new “Oooo-Ahhh” that would make no sense for me as...
    1) I don’t have enough fingers for my growing collection
    2) I don’t need to spend even more money on more sparkly things (especially not $12k!)
    That said, I’ve never owned a step-cut....
