Show me pics of your stock WF setting

I''m trying to decide how/where to set my diamond. It will be a princess cut, so I''d be most interested in those settings. However, I''d like to see real-life pics of stock WF settings. Specifically

4 prong tiffany for fancy cut
Sleek lines solitaire
Fine lines solitaire
Cathedral
Surpise - does the surprise have to be a round?
X-prong trellis
x-prong for princess

those with side diamonds like the rounded open cathedral.

Trying to decide if I want to get a simple stock setting from WF or find one at my local jewler. I will get price quotes from them tonight when I return my original ring.

Whiteflash''s stock settings are really gorgeous IMO. Much nicer quality than a lot of things you find these days.

I also have a stock Legato sleek lines, just with a *tiny* modification to the prong tips, and I adore it! NF is correct, very high quality with quite reasonable prices.

Mine is a custom setting, so seeing it won''t help you. But I''ll add that if you email the person you''re working with at WF and give them your list, they will send you pictures of whatever settings you want. It won''t be handshots, but at least you''ll get a little more of a view than the stock pictures on the website. Good luck! My personal favorites for a princess are the Legato Sleek Lines or Full of Surprises (it''s a new one!) for a solitaire, or for a setting with more bling, the Petite Open Cathedral or Sleek Line Pave.

Thanks everyone! I''ve decided to get a simple cathedral setting from my local jeweler. I''d like to get a more elaborate setting at some point but the compromise now is that I get a bigger stone! This also allows me the comfort of taking it to that store (along with other jewelry I have from there) to get checked and replated and possibly resized. They were FABULOUS with me last night when I returned my original ering and told them I was getting the diamond elsewhere. I was really surprised. I ordered the mounting and my stone should be here Sat. Final ring next Friday which will really be Sat as I''m out of town the last half of this next week. I will be on this board A LOT in the future though looking and learning and hoping to stumle across the setting of my dreams. Right now I haven''t found it so this is the best route for me I think. The stone was the most important.

A ? about WF customs. Can other customers order your custom design? I''m curious because when I originally contacted them about a ring and showed them what I currently had, they sent me images of a custom ring that was exactly what I had. I came across the thread here on PS which appears to be the original person showing the ongoing designs of that ring. So I''m curious how the "custom" policy works.

Jstar - I''m getting the stone you picked for me! I posted in another thread, but I haven''t seen you over there in a couple days. I had wanted your opinion on the alternate choice presented to me. But I decided to go with your stone. Are you EXCITED!?!?!?!

Oh, sorry I missed that post! It does give me warm fuzzies to hear you''re getting the stone I picked out. It will be absolutely gorgeous and is very similar in cut to my own. You''re going to love it! I''m not sure how the holiday weekend figures into this, but WF is usually extremely quick in shipping (especially if they don''t have to make a setting). You should receive it very soon, and I can''t wait to see pics!

You can certainly order the same "custom" ring someone else did, but it usually is still custom technically...if they get enough requests for something sometimes they will then make it into a "stock" piece.

Jstar - We are paying for the ring tomorrow and Lesley said if it all goes through quick enough they will ship tomorrow. If I get it to the Jewelry store by Sunday night, the jewler will pick it up on Monday morning. It will be back Friday. I am out of town then and will be back Sat. So I HOPE I will have the ring by then. It sucks being engaged with no ring. I will take pics once it''s set if I can figure out how you guys take such good pics. I wouldn''t want to do the stone an injustice by posting crappy pics.
