Blu, is that 6.89 just lying around somewhere unworn? I think I might be able to wear a diamond larger than 2 carats after all! You''re looking very, very good!!!

Lauren, I LOOOOOOOVE your bezel ascher. It is my favorite ring I have seen on here! Did you have that custom made? I am getting a round bezel made - with a little miligrain work on the halo kind of like the James Meyer ring.
But, everytime I see yours I want to go look at aschers!

My husband had it custom made from one of his many bezeled Asscher designs by Whiteflash. The cool thing about my ring vs. the original CADs my husband drew up, is that small bevel in the halo. I feel like it visually extends the diamond, and I love that he dreamed up the design all by himself.
I absolutely love James Meyer-esque designs, and I''m really hoping to have one of my special gemstones bezeled by JM one of these days. I can''t wait to see yours, Cat!
I would definitely contact other jewelers - a 2 mm shank is fairly common, and not hard to do for most jewelers who have some expert benchmen. Look into getting some other quote from some of the PS vendors.Date: 2/21/2009 10:05:14 PM

Wow - your husband designed that? Impressive! Interesting that whiteflash made your ring - were you nervous making an online purchase? I guess he saw an image of what it would look like before they made it?
I am having trouble with our jeweler making a 2mm band - I had contacted whiteflash in the past about a custom ring, maybe I will again....
