Show I halo my ring?

I was at my jewelers and came across a setting that I really like. It has a delicate halo around it and reminded me of the Tacori 2620. I would have diamonds added to the shank. What do you think? Should I change my setting?

I really like your rings just the way they are - very pretty! Halos are such a personal preference - I don't know that anyone can tell you definitively that you SHOULD halo your ring.

That mounting looks like the halo is a bit more substantial than the Tacori one though - which way are you leaning?

If you are ever considering upgrading your stone- i say wait. If not, then its really a personal preference. Although, your original set is stunning

Personally I much prefer your gorgeous current setting, but that's just ME. :twirl:

I love your current setting!

That being said, I think if you were to switch I would prefer the halo with a plain shank with your current wedding band to a halo with diamond shank. Just my opinion :)

I actually prefer the halo, and NOT because I am a halo-girl (although I clearly am :D ) but bc the plain shank of the halo looks GORGEOUS against your wedding band!! It's just enough. It makes your diamond really pop AND it makes the wedding band shine too. It's like they are both shown off better some how with the halo setting.
Not to say that your current setting isnt pretty too BUT with the wedding band, I prefer the halo. It's gorgeous. If you were planning on wearing the e-ring alone, I would say keep the current setting.

I agree with lbbaber. I'm not really a halo fan anymore (I once was, though!) but your wedding band looks SO nice next to that plain shank.

My biggest issue with halos are the profiles. I *really* wanted a halo for my original engagement ring, but I never found a profile that I liked. Do you have any shots of the profile of the halo ring?

I think you have a gorgeous set either way, so you really can't go wrong!

I like the delicate halo...but your current ring is really pretty too! Tough choice. What about getting a haloed RHR with a
colored stone if you really want a halo? Or I guess if you do halo your ering then you can put a colored stone in your current
setting.

If you are going to add diamonds to the shank of the new setting, then I wouldn't do it. I think your current set is beautiful and don't see the need for the extra bling of the halo. I think your stone would be lost with a diamond halo, diamond shank, and diamond wedding band.

I think your current setting is Very Pretty. But because I have caught the halo bug myself I can definitely relate to where you are coming from, I don't think you can go wrong either way. If you go with the halo with diamonds on the shank along with the diamond band, you'll definitley have at least one person jealous of you, Me!

Your current setting is pretty but it is not a delicate look. It has some large prongs which show a lot of metal. You mention that you like the delicate look of the halo. I wonder if you are leaning towards the halo because it has a dainty feel to it or do you really like halos? Just something to think about.

My feeling is your stone is large enough to stand on its own but the large prongs of your current setting kind of over-shadow it.

Thank you so much for all the compliments on my ring. I am not sure what I am going to do. I really love the Tacori 2620 so maybe I will go with that. Here is a picture of the side view of the ring I posted.

I prefer the halo because it has smaller prongs and your stone would show more. I also like it better with the plain shank with your wedding band.

I'm sooo bias on this so that's my warning!

I think your set is beautiful the way it is, however the prongs as mentioned are very prominent. As for the halo, I LOVE LOVE the plain shank halo look with an eternity band. In fact, it's what i'm going to do exactly! I have the Tacori 2639 which is the 2620 with a round halo instead of the cushion in the 2620. I think that the other one you posted is an obvious take on the Tacori and if you really love it, then go with the original.

You can see in the photos I posted that my prongs are made to be more "claw" and invisible versus the thicker ones you may see in other Tacori rings on display. So it may be something to consider if you don't want them to be too visible.

Your ring is beautiful! That style Tacori is my favorite setting! I have a love- hate relationship with my prongs. I don't like how they are so chunky but I love how they make my diamond have a cushiony shape to it. Thats why I think I love how the Tacori 2620 makes the round diamond look like a cushion but more delicately than my prongs do!

i very much like your ring exactly as it is! don't change a thing  i think in the end you may regret it.

Thank you. That is what I am worried about, that I won't like the new setting as much as my current one.
