I'm thinking about resetting my diamond. Need your guys opinions! My next question is, if you guys know if whiteflash would make that particular setting in 14 karat white gold? I send them already an email regarding this.

It might be special order but they will probably do it. It's nice and modern, I like it!

I think that is a beautiful setting! It comes in 18k white gold. Why wouldn't you want that?

I owned once a 18 karat gold ring and I found that metal very soft! It scratched so easily. I heard platinum is the same way. Feel free to correct me if I be wrong.

Would that setting sit flush with a 2.5mm eternity band?

It is generally true that 18k yellow gold is not as hard as 14k, but that can be reversed in white gold, according to one of the appraisers here. I would not worry about 18k in this ring and would actually prefer it. I have a similar style ring and it goes really well with eternity bands. There probably will be a tiny gap due to the doughnut at the base of the head. Mine is like that, too, and I actually prefer it.

Is the gap very noticeable? Would you mind showing me a pic?
