Ok. I am the first to say that I love contrasting bands and not matchy matchy. But. I just reset my stone into this chunky setting and none of my bands seem to complement it. The setting was stock and originally came with two matching bands. I didn’t even stop to consider them bc I figured that I don’t like symmetry and that I have so many bands, and that I don’t like to match. All this to say that I didn’t contemplate them. But now. My contrasting bands seem to contrast tooo much—in terms of color or cut or what have you. My jeweler offered me a smoking deal on one or both. They are made to match so they are 15 pointers, 8 stones each. I am not considering both. Just one. Thoughts? My fear was that bc this ring is so chunky—which I love—my stone could get lost in even more diamonds.

I would get the matching band @nala. I don’t like to match either..but your ring is deliciously chunky. I don’t know how you can match it with another band. A plain band just would work either in MHO. Your diamond could never get lost among all the diamonds..lol

I dont think it ever hurts to have the matching band. You can always put something in between your ering and the matching band
to add interest. That's one of my favorite looks.

A matching band would look blingy and matchy but if you decide to reset your stone would you wear the band since you have so many?

Life is short, buy the band.

Btw, I was thinking about you the other day, not to sound creepy but I was like “Gee, I don’t think I’ve seen Nala lately”

Then you posted your latest reset, and I knew all was well ;)2

Personally, I really love the lines and proportions of your chunkilicious ring as a stand-alone piece! It is gorgeous and your center stone is a star. The matching band does sound tempting, though, if you think you would wear a diamond band and the appeal to your heart goes beyond the opportunity of a smokin’ deal.

Would love to see a picture with the matching band. If you love it, get it! My only reservation would be that you don’t keep settings very long; would the jeweler take both rings back in trade if you decide to reset again?

I think a chunky band would compliment your intentional chunky look. Plus a band with all those 15 pointers would look good by itself or stacked, should you ever switch settings again in the future.

I adore your new chunky ring :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2: ......

What was the question ? :lol-2:

I don't usually like matchy matchy but I'd make an exception because they look particularly striking together

And your stone will always be the star of the show

I want to say thank you all for enabling me! Please excuse the dirty ering but I have been running around like crazy!

@nala I originally did not vote because I was thinking, leave it as a stand alone because I really like this setting with no band. I now just voted "Yes" because the matching band looks great.

Looks just right

Nala, I’m glad you decided to go for it! It looks beautiful.

Yep. Exquisite!
And the profile…not only nice but interesting with all the swoops!
