Ok. I am the first to say that I love contrasting bands and not matchy matchy. But. I just reset my stone into this chunky setting and none of my bands seem to complement it. The setting was stock and originally came with two matching bands. I didn’t even stop to consider them bc I figured that I don’t like symmetry and that I have so many bands, and that I don’t like to match. All this to say that I didn’t contemplate them. But now. My contrasting bands seem to contrast tooo much—in terms of color or cut or what have you. My jeweler offered me a smoking deal on one or both. They are made to match so they are 15 pointers, 8 stones each. I am not considering both. Just one. Thoughts? My fear was that bc this ring is so chunky—which I love—my stone could get lost in even more diamonds.
