Sorry if this is deja-vu for some of you. I posted this thread a few years ago and most of you voted no.
I am still pondering if I should have it halo'ed by Victor C, in an Emilya a la Frankie. Now that you have seen my bling wardrobe and how I like my pieces, do those of you that voted no before still think that I should leave it as a solitaire? For the new comers, pls vote away!
If it helps, I don't wear this stone anymore since it looks rather small to me - I know I know (pls don't stone me
- pardon the pun! ) I can't help but feel that this stone, as it is currently set, is just not *me*
(and it doesn't help that it's currently set sky-high, so I def have to have it reset anyway). What's more, whilst I didn't like the 3-stone 5.444ctw ring initially (I thought it was too much), now I feel it's *just* right. And I wear the halo'ed LM 3.50ct pear practically everyday - I LURVE it!
I was wondering for the longest time if I should sell this stone and upgrade it for a larger one. Now that a 5ct is out of my reach (and am not sure that I even want a 5ct RB, though if one landed on my lap I certainly wouldn't say no
), I could only look at a 4ct and I'd be happy with F-G, VS2. But the highest offer I've had for this 3ct thus far is about $25k less than what similar stones are listed for, even online. If I could sell it for a better price and upgrade to a 4ct F-G VS2, I'd for sure wear it as a solitaire (I *miss* this look sooooo much, esp after having seen Bliss' recent reset!). If someone has an idea on how I could achieve a better price selling the 3ct, I'm all ears!
Am attaching some photos of the ring as is to give you an idea.
