So after the advice of everyone, and after realizing she wanted a princess cut and not a round, I settled on a nice 1.2ct Princess from GoG.
Now for the ring...
Back when I took her looking last summer, I don''t think we ever saw or heard of a european type shank, so I have no idea how she feels about them. I however got to see one recently, and really liked the unique look of it. The only advice on it I got was from some slick salesperson though, so I don''t even know if it has any advantages other than just a unique look.
So what do you guys think? Should I play it safe and go round, or take a chance? Does the euro style help the ring from slipping from side to side, or does it create more corners to pinch skin on? Does it do neither?
Any advice would be helpful, thanks!
Oh yeah also for reference I am looking to get a ring and band custom made very similar to what scarlet16 has here: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/new-plain-novo-band.85647/ with the no-cathedral, low setting and pave diamonds down the side.
