I am concerned about the lower girdle length of this stone. What are the implications on fire and brilliance for this stone vs. a stone with a lower girdle of 77 or 78%? I would greatly appreciate feedback from any cut expert out there regarding the proportions of this round brilliant stone:

Carat 0.842
Measurements 6.06 x 6.10 x 3.75
Table % 55.1
Depth % 61.7
Girdle: Thin To Medium Faceted
Crown % 15.5
Crown Angle: 34.8
Star %: 52.0
Pav Angle: 40.8
Pavillion % 43.0
Lower Girdle % 76.0
Culet Pointed
Polish: Ideal
Symmetry: Ideal

76% is not a concern. In fact, combined with 55% table, I love it for producing long and fat arrows and bolder flashes. It is upto your preference. Having that said, I highly doubt a normal person can tell difference between 76% and 77%.

Overall proportions?? The bull's eye of AGS ideal

Thanks for the helpful reply and video, Flyingpig.

Are smaller tables typically associated with shorter lower girdle lengths? Why would a diamond cutter who is going for light performance choose to go with a shorter lower girdle length?

@Flyingpig - Wow, that's a great thread. Very informative and then some. Thanks for posting.

@Dancing Fire - Thank you :). It does look nice on paper...let's hope it lives up to its numbers. I'll post a photo when I receive the stone.
