Dear all,
Thanks for this great forum, I have learned a lot over the past few days
. I''m planning to buy a diamond ring online (0.5 - 0.7 ct round brilliant AGS ideal 0) and run all prospective candidates through the HCA.
The stones I''m looking at have girdle sizes anywhere between thin and slightly thick whereas the HCA score is for a ''medium'' stone precisely. Now, here comes the question:
Is the girdle size important for the stones optical performance, does it influence the light return? Or is it just important for size/weight and chipping/ non-chipping?
I''m trying to find the maximum sparkling stone (rather than the biggest). Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Aurelio
