Hi!

I am shopping for a pink lab diamond, kinda as an anniversary ring/fun purchase. I was wondering if you could share any tips on selecting a stone online? I am currently looking on:

1. Brilliant Earth (I can see the stone before purchasing which is a plus, prices are 1.5-2x more than Alibaba vendors)

Attached photos are from ring shopping today. I like the twisted vine setting with one row of diamonds.

2. Alibaba - tianyu, Messi
(Kinda tough because of the large spectrum of pinks and some IGI reports dont list cut grade- why?)

3. Jannpaul (Im sure the end result would be best and I’m very picky with craftsmanship so I do want to go with them— but they also quoted me $5500 for 1.5 ct pink. Which is a crazy price imo)

I recently bought 3 blue lab diamonds from loosegrowndiamond.com. Can see pics, video and certificate there of actual stone you purchase. You can search by color (blue, pink, yellow, etc.), cut, clarity, size, price, etc. (I bought 3 because it was almost too easy to find multiple stones to love!! )

Also, if there is a particular stone you love, a little googling can find best price for you. Found David Klass through this forum (thank you PS!) and currently have 2 rings and a bracelet being made.

$5500 for 1.5 carat pink diamond is crazee! One of my blue lab diamonds is 1.5 carat princess cut IF, E color for $900.

Brilliant earths prices are insane. At least with JP you are paying for high quality and craftsmanship
If you are very picky I would strongly consider them

I'm just going to say that that pink is the perfect pink. Perfect shade, perfect intensity, perfect hue. Just pink, with no other hues. Do you any more pictures I can drool over? Do you remember what the certificate said? Is it fancy vivid pink? I know Brillian Earth is said to be overpriced, but it's a very beautiful stone.

That said, 5.5k is crazy even for JP. I expected it because it's JP, who is known to be expensive, and most pink labs are crap because it's a colour notoriously very difficult to get (to me, most of them they look either peachy or neon orange. It's a dead giveaway that they are labs). And even when you get one of the 5% pink labs that is not peachy or orange, they rarely ever are that perfect pink. Could you post pics of the stone they quoted you?

Anyway, I won't buy one because I don't think I'll ever spend 5.5k in a single lab made diamond. But man, will I keep drooling over them.

This was the stone I saw at the Brilliant Earth store. Also, everyone was so nice, it probably was one of the best shopping experiences I had (though I didnt buy anything). https://www.brilliantearth.com/2.05-Ct.-Fancy-Pink-Round-Lab-Grown-Diamond-8884958B/

I’ve added some photos for your review. The pear is a fancy yellow. It was pretty also, but the bowtie effect was quite prominent.

Have you looked on Brilliance.com? I see a couple light pinks for $500 at 1.2ct but I wish it was a stronger hue.
