Sholdt engagment rings- experiences? reviews? pictures?

Hello all!

I am interested in the Sholdt engagement rings. If you have purchased one, would you please share your experience- customer service, etc.? Also, which jeweler did you purchase through?

Do you need to buy a Sholdt or jeweler''s diamond, or can you purchase the setting seperately and set your own diamond in it? About how much do the settings cost?

I can answer some of the questions as I''m having a ring made by sholdt.

I''ve been working with Jason at Pearlman''s to set my diamond I purchased seperately, they carry sholdt and he is very easy to work with. Sholdt makes their rings in platinum, palladium and 18k and the prices vary with each metal. You can see some of the sholdt settings with prices at http://www.pearlmansjewelers.com/jewelry-designers/sholdt-jewelry/, you should call them to get up to date pricing in the different metals.

Depending on the jeweler, some may or may not sell you the setting without purchasing the stone from them.

I purchased mine (the sholdt semi bezel) through Pearlmans. They had me send it directly to Sholdt with the info. they provided me with. When the stone was set, Sholdt sent it directly back to me. Took a little over 2 weeks and was very easy.

Pearlmans price for the setting was also way better than the store i was going to do it through initially.
