After many months of research, internet searches, visits to retailers, and responses from all you awesome forum members I proposed while on a last-minute trip to Hawaii, on the private shores of the west coast of Oahu at Ka'ena Point. She had no idea I was going to propose there (she did know it was coming though, as we had discussed it). We hiked the trail after the road ended. I asked her to turn away and face the ocean so that I could take a picture of her gazing at the waters. When she turned around I had this waiting for her!

It is a Monique Lhuillier design from Blue Nile. Platinum setting. Off the top of my head it's a 2.25 center stone with close to .8 in the halo and pave. There are 2 sapphires at the base (center) of the setting (not shown). I, VS1,VG symmetry and excellent polish, no fluorescence.
Thank you to all of you who helped me with my initial lack of focus on this very important purchase! Now, on to plan the destination wedding...
