I have heard people on here talk about shaving down a ring to make it thinner. Is this safe to do? Is it expensive? Will the ring not look as nice or polished after? Do any PS vendors do this or do you have to find someone local? Thanks!

as long as the integrity of the piece isn''t compromised, yes it is safe.

Is it expensive?
not usually. if you take it to the jeweler you purchased from they may do it it for a small fee, or even for free depending on how extensive the work is.

Will the ring not look as nice or polished after?
it should look just as good as before.

Do any PS vendors do this or do you have to find someone local? Thanks!
anyone that has access to a bench jeweler can do it.

Thanks so much belle! You are always so helpful!!
