Hi Pricescopers!
I have lurked, admired, drooled, and educated myself on this amazing forum for over a year while patiently waiting for my now-fiance to propose. I accidentally saw a picture of my engagement ring last May, and waited 10 (VERY LONG) months for my fiance to pop the question. He had no idea that I knew about the ring, and felt horribly when he learned that I had been holding my breath during every holiday, vacation, and birthday that passed during that time. Needless to say, he is well worth the wait - and the ring was worth it too!!!
The stone was purchased from a jeweler friend to whom I had confided my desires, so that she knew which direction to steer my fiance when he came looking. I know that there are many warnings against buying from a friend in the business, but she found an amazing stone, and I could not be happier. I designed the setting after the proposal, and again, she executed beyond my imagination.
Apologies in advance for my amateur iPhone photo skills!
