I also prefer French. I usually think of shared prongs for bigger stones and a little more modern (see my avatar with 20 point stones).
I think the prongs on French pave are a little more petite and possibly safer because each stone has its own 4 prongs. Because the prongs
are smaller, French pave seems more "seamless" and refined, and I think that's what the setting you are looking at should have.
I'm sure Rhino's bench could do a lovely job at either so it really depends what look you prefer.
Ok, so I inquired about showing more side profile of the pave stones and he told me he can easily do that as well as change the “cutout” to any of these shapes....I’m too indecisive for this!
