Ohhhh, I''m a Clinique freak!!!
30.gif

1. Ugh. I''m 30.
14.gif

2. OK, I''m a bit of a product addict! Twice daily, I use: Clinique Liquid Facial Soap, Clinique Clarifying Lotion #3, Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel, Clinique Total Turnaround Concentrate, Clinique Pore Refining Lotion, and Clinique All About Eyes Rich. Once daily (in the morning, before putting on makeup), I use: Clinique Pore Refining Instant Perfector. Once a week I use: Clinique Deep-Cleansing Emergency Mask and Clinique Turnaround 15-Minute Facial.

3. I''m very happy with them! I''ve been using Clinique for about 10 years now, and I can''t imagine using anything else!

4. I wish I had discovered the Pore Refining Lotion and the Pore Refining Instant Perfector earlier . . . LOVE those!!!

5. I use sunscreen VERY rarely. I know, I know . . . that''s bad.
15.gif

6. I''ve been eyeing up the Aveda skin care line, but it''s even pricier than Clinique and I''m just not convinced that it would work as well for me.

7. Nope! Although it probably wouldn''t be a bad idea . . .

I use Clinique quite regularly, but also love my Aveda. It''s definitely worth the money, but the only reason why I don''t get it as often is because I don''t find myself near an Aveda store very often. But if Clinique works for you, why mess with a good thing?
Diva, that''s very true! I recently started using Aveda hair care stuff, which is what my salon recommends. I LOVE IT!!! So I guess I''ve just been playing with the idea of incorporating more Aveda products into my routine. I really do like the Clinique stuff though, so I think I''ll stick with that.

Buuuuut . . . you mentioned the Aveda Caribbean Therapy body wash and lotion . . . how do you like those?
27.gif
I just googled it and checked out their website, I''d never heard of them before, sounds very interesting...I like the fact that it''s all natural ingredients...
36.gif
I wonder if it work better than the chemical stuff...hm...

Lill, I really like their Dry Remedy line (shampoo, conditioner and weekly treatment masque). Also, I use their Be Curly styling products (the Curl Control and the Curl Enhancer). The best part is . . . it all smells AWESOME!!! I can''t stop smelling my hair! LOL!

Lol, I have pretty long and curly hair, and I took me AGES to find a product that works for my thick and frizzy hair. Have you heard of Tigi? I use their Curls Rock Gel and Curl Booster, they''re THE BEST! I always get compliments whenever I have it in my hair, it smells like uhm, I can''t even explain it, but the scent stays on, and i''m exactly the same when it comes to smelling my hair whenever I have the curls rock in my hair, I can''t stop LOL.

But please don''t tell anyone...

I thought it might be interesting to start a thread where we can share our skincare regime.

1. Your age-'range' (if you're comfortable sharing
2.gif
)

2. What products are included in your skincare regime?

3. Are you happy with your skincare products?

4. Are there any products that you wish you had found earlier?

5. Do you use sunscreen daily?

6. Are there any products you haven't tried yet that you're curious about or plan to try?

7. Do you integrate anything in particular in your diet to benefit your skin?

OK, let's just say I am about as passionate about skin care as I am diamonds! And it's as much of a shark pit in the cosmetics and skin care world as it is in the diamond world!
23.gif

Sooooo, after tons of research, and just for fun, here are some random things I have learned (in no particular order):

Expensive skin care products are no "better" than their less expensive drug-store cousins. There are good and bad products in every line, and in every price range. You do NOT have to use products all from one line for *synergy*! That's just marketing hype. So-called "natural" products are not inherently or even necessarily better than their "chemical" counterparts. Wrinkles are NOT caused by dry skin, although properly hydrated skin absolutely make wrinkles less noticeable. If you have oily skin, you do NOT need a moisturizer! Many products contain irritating ingredients that can dry out the skin or cause other problems. The best defense against wrinkles is sun protection EVERY DAY, (SPF 15 or higher) with at least one of these active ingredients: titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, or avobenzone.

I use all Paula's Choice products ( www.paulaschoice.com ) and I swear by them. She really takes the hype out of the industry. LOVE HER!!! My regime is simple: wash at night with her face wash for dry skin, followed by a light moisturizer when/where/if I need it. Some nights I use her alpha hydroxy acid lotion, other nights her beta hydroxy 1% lotion, just to keep the dead skin cells sloughed off. In the morning, I rinse my face (warm water only) and use a foundation with an SPF 20. That would be it. Easy, inexpensive, and seriously great results.

Fun thread, BTW!

I am 36

1. Proactiv Renewing Cleanser (twice a day)

2. Proactiv Revitalizing Toner (twice a day)

3. Proactiv Repairing Lotion (twice a day)

Three times a week I will use the Proactiv Refining Mask.

I never had skin problems when I was a teenager, but boy did that change once I had my kids! I love Proactiv, it has really worked for me and has made a difference. My skin is clear now, but I continue to use it because I really love the products they carry.

No, I do not use sunscreen daily, but I live in Ohio...we only see the sun 3 months out of the year, lol!

Hi DD,
Just a note to mention that you might want to reconsider wearing a sunscreen daily. Daily sunscreen use is not just for those in sunny California or Florida. The relentless daily assault of UVA rays (which are out there all the time, even on overcast or winter days) are cumulative and absolutely will take its toll on our skin. And we ALL wanna look ravishing at 70 or 80, don't we, when we are sporting those HUGE sparkly upgrades???!!

I do wear it when I am out in the sun...it is just that I am rarely out!
The moisturizer that I use does have SPF 15, but I do not use any additional unless I am out in the sun for long periods.

Huge upgrades you say??? Now that is the way that I want to attract the sun, with my HUGE sparkly bling!

1. 40

2. Skin Actives Sea Kelp Bioferment as a face wash (helps a lot with my mild rosacea - really reduced the redness) I also use Skin Medica Vitamin C (day) and Retinol (night). I trade between moisturizers - Kanebo Senai Silk and Clinque Redness Solutions. I just discovered Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion and I love it for twice weekly exfoliation.

3. I am totally sold on the Sea Kelp for both the face and hair... amazing! It seems to really reduce redness and shrink my pores... my skin just seems so much clearer after using it and my hair seems less frizzy if I mix it in with my normal hair products.

4. Sea kelp and Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion

5. No, but I should.

6. At my age, I''m more curious about procedures than products because I need some serious help! LOL! I have always wondered if IPL (Photorejuvenation/light therapy) really works. It''s so expensive, but I''d go that route if it really gave results that last. I''m a bit curious about the LaMer body moisturizer. I''ve heard great reviews, but is it really better than other less expensive moisurizers? I''m also curious about Emu Oil.

7. I take a fairly large nightly dose of omega 3''s (fish oil) and that seems to help with my skin and hair. My hair seems to grow much faster (but maybe that''s all in my head!) and my skin seems to look better... heathier if that makes sense. I try to drink lots of water, too. But I''m not always good with that.

I''m going to add on products that I was disappointed with... Kate Somerville Deep Tissue Repair and ExoliKate - both expensive and not worth it IMO.

1. I''m 25

2. Clinique Liquid Facial Soap, Clinique Clarifying Lotion, and Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing lotion.

3. I am quite happy with my products!

4. I wish I had found Clinique earlier, they''re not much more expensive that drug store stuff I was buying, and I notice a huge difference in my skin.

5. My make up is mineral make up that has SPF 15

6. I''d like to explore the Clinique line a bit more, they have tons of things I''d love to try, but I might go into debt trying them all.

7. I try to drink a lot of water on a daily basis, this alone has made HUGE differences in my skin. Water is the best thing you can do for it!

I am 32. My skin is sensitive, and can be acne-prone. I find that the best skincare for me has been a mild cleanser at morning and at night, and light oil-free moisturizer during the day (with sunscreen if I''m not wearing makeup or will be spending a lot of time outside) and a retinol product at night. I also like heavy eye creams.

I like:
Cleanser: Clinique Liquid cCeanser - Mild
Moisturizer: Clinique Moisture Surge, or Superdefense for Oily Skin with SPF 25 if I need sunscreen
Scrub (I use about twice a week): Clinique 7-Day Scrub Cream
Eye Cream: Clinique All About Eyes Rich
Night Cream: Afirm Retinol 3X Strength (I have found this product on skinstore.com - it is my HG magic cream)
