A friend of mine once scoffed at me when I mentioned the traditional thanksgiving green bean recipe. I happen to LIKE it, excuse me, Ms Gourmet magazine!

Do you have a recipe that's quick and easy that you can share? Has to involve at least one can of soup.

I like to make chicken and dumplings with Campbells Cream of Chicken (2) and Jiffy All Purpose Baking Mix. Make the dumplings using the recipe on the Jiffy box and make the soup according to instructions. The trick is to cut the dumplings with a pizza cutter, slide them onto a big spatula and then LAY the dumplings on TOP of the soup. Then they steam and puff up while cooking. Slip the chicken (either cooled leftovers or uncooked breast filets cubed) under the dumplings in the last 5 minutes of cooking.

The green bean recipe is also welcome if someone could please tell me how to keep it from being . . . well . . . soupy!

Chicken Divan

2 Cans cream of chicken soup
1 Cup mayo
1 cup shredded cheddar
1 bag frozen broccoli and cauliflower
1 can chicken breast (like for chicken salad)
1 tbsp curry
2 tbsp melted butter
panko

preheat oven to 350

In a medium sauce pan mix soup, mayo cheese and curry over med high heat until bubbling

Heat the bag of veggies in the microwave until hot/defrosted, drain off liquid

Add veggies and drained chicken to sauce pan

Mix butter and enough panko to cover top of sauce pan.

Put the sauce pan in the oven until the panko is nice and brown.

(This is the quick way to do it)

Slow way

pre-heat oven 350

defrost veggies and drain liquid

mix soup mayo cheese and curry together

in a casserole dish layer veggies then chicken and top with sauce

mix panko and butter to top casserole

place in over until center starts to bubble (an hour or so)

You can use leftover chicken or turkey too
