Ive some jewellery ideas/projects with gem crystals and rough pebbles. One will be a rough pebble bracelet.
IMG_0697.jpeg
A finished one is that rare ruby crystal with a 3 side habitus. Way more common is pseudohexagonal (6 side). All around its beautiful and because of that its great that it can fully turn around 360 degreeds under the eyelet. I like thise cute dragon claw designs, and as there was the year of dragon when I gave the crystal to the jeweler guy, that also matched.

...yes all is ok i checked my email

it had another 20 odd percent off so that paid for the international shipping and another NZ$25 off the sale price
im not sure about NZ GST - bigger places lite etsy and amazon do that for us, i might get a call from a tax collector when it arrives
they have really nice things that appeal strongly to my Scottish heritage

Oh @Daisys and Diamonds I'm so happy you got it! I just read this thread, so I was a little behind. I was going to offer to buy it for you because you are really a ray of sunshine here and you deserve some shiny bling of your dreams! (I hope this doesn't come off as rude. I'm not growing a money tree, but there's a coupon!)

Next up for you, should be something from the Boss! :kiss2:

it was too an offer to miss out
i have wanted it for ages

There is a thread titled "Rainbow Moonstone, Cab or Faceted?" by LC2016 and it piqued my interest in moonstones in general. Picked these up to see how I’d like it. Now I want a rainbow one. . . perhaps. . . maybe

So excited for you!! I love seeing others here find pieces people have been wanting. Congratulations!!! It's so pretty!!

well, I just emailed to finalize the details on a CRD small lily ring with spinel, sapphires and tourmaline or kornerupine. So I suppose that's my latest obsession too.

so many pretty shiny things...

Not gonna buy it but thinking about this an awful lot lately. One of you turned me on to the blue Overseas recently, although that was the smaller version. A few iterations with the now-iconic blue dial:

ETA: not my wrist; never even seen it in person -- so I guess I'm a Reddit-caliber expert now!

Oh, another obsession is a Munsteiner piece in this style of carving. A flat 'cube' illusion with some 'bubble' looking carvings (contrasting the sharpness of the 'cube'), but I'm open to other forms instead of bubbles, as long as the cube effect is striking/the focus.

, a more realistic option is a faceted vanadinite, which I hope I can buy when Brad gets another miraculously big, clean crystal. Similar story with Russian or Baja chrome sphene.

Small update.
I've asked Brad a few times over the last year or so or so about sourcing a vanadinite. I didn't buy the one above because at 2500$, it just doesn't feel worth it for a curiosity/soft gem. I wanted sub 1ct/cheaper, so I can have more funds for practical and settable gems.
Posting in this thread prompted me to ask again, and he has two just under 0.5ct he recently acquired that he described as very fine. Hoping they are super well cut and not too tiny face-up despite the weight. If I buy one I'll probably post it in the Rainbow Gem thread.

I also asked him about a Munsteiner like the above. Less likely to work out but he said he may have one or two with a similar vibe. Hoping they are prettier colors than brown. My ideal material for such a piece that Munsteiner uses is tourmaline or blue sheen moonstone.
If it doesn't work out, I may have to contact the one or two other dealers I've come across who sell loose Munsteiner gems. But, I've never spoken with them, my gut feeling is they'll be overpriced, but worth a shot.

After my purple garnet disappointments (from another thread) I'm quite excited maybe one of the above will work out :appl:

My current (actually it’s been a few years really) obsession is Aquamarine jewellery and it peaked when Anna Wintour wore her Stunning Brooch to the recent Met Gala.
I’m absolutely obsessing over THIS gorgeous Aquamarine/diamond piece!

Considering setting this mix of colors and cuts in stackable rings. Yellow sapphire with step crown and brilliant pavilion. Pink topaz with step crown and pavilion. Aquamarine with brilliant crown and step pavilion.

Wow, love the pink of that topaz. Is it natural? Where did you get it?

Natural and untreated from Katlang according to Jeff White.

Oooh, you got one of the very pink ones!! What I would not do! I have a peachy-pink one.

The color is exactly what I’m looking for, but it’s one of the smaller ones. How big is your peachy-pink?
