My girlfriend has a 4.25 ring size and I’ll be buying a 1.6ct decagon from JP.

I’m going to be asking JP to look at the Leon Mege perfect solitaire as an inspiration and I wanted to know about the size of the shank.

She and I really like a ring that tapers towards the diamond. We also don’t want a ring that’s too small because it doesn’t really look good to me. I’ve read some people talk about a 2mm shank that tapers to a 1.8 and some that got a 2.2 that tapers to a 2.

Does anyone have any advice on what they believe would fit her proportions better? Thanks!

Can you provide the link to the LM ring you are referring to?

Also show what JP’s (classic?plain?) solitaire offering looks like.

I think proportion opinions you are asking for also depends on her ring size and if you are looking for a gradual taper or a more sudden one.

We also don’t want a ring that’s too small because it doesn’t really look good to me
Are you meaning the shank width?
How thin is too thin that doesn’t look good to you?
2mm is thin…….imo
