She was in the glove for most of the day it was so cold but when we got back I let her out and oh she warmed things up considerably. Even with her icy beauty she keeps it hot.

This ring was a gift for my Birthday, this year (New Year’s Day).
It’s completely outside of my usual box (pun intended lol), but it caught my eye several months ago, while browsing the case at our local jeweler, waiting for my rings to be inspected and cleaned. Eventhough there are no baguettes, Asschers, or EC’s in sight, the design of this ring called to me.
As the holidays approached, the jeweler notified me that this sweet beauty was going on clearance, as they were purging inventory, and bringing in new pieces for 2020.
Not long after, my mother passed, and DH was determined to get me some “bling therapy” to make my birthday special, in spite of the great loss of losing my mother 2 days before Christmas. There are 5 Marquise diamonds along the band, and 4 bead set rounds (2 on each end). The Marquise are bezel set, surrounded by delicate milgrain. The body of the ring is filigree with a tiny Fleur de Lys design between each stone. It’s half eternity, 14K white gold.
Approx. 75-80 pts TCW. SI1-VS2 clarity. G-H-I color.
I wear this ring on my pointer finger of my left hand. She stands quite well, on her own.

He is doing well thank you for asking @Catmom. He wanted to be released from HSS the day after the surgery despite one usually remaining in the hospital for 2 nights at least. The PT at the hospital and the surgeon assessed him and said it was OK. So he came home with me Saturday afternoon (in the middle of a snowy storm) and the first 2 days he was in a lot of pain but he is much better today. And he already had one home PT visit and one is scheduled later today and he is doing all the range of motion exercises he was told to do. So far so good.
Good luck to your sister on her TKR February 3rd. I hope it goes very smoothly. And if there is anything I can help with please let me know. I have a feeling by then I will be an expert re TKR recovery.
So the PT came last night and set him back. So upset. It was that last stretch the PT insisted on doing. He told Greg that would help him feel looser this morning but instead it was so painful it woke him up in the middle of the night. It's hard to fathom that a professional who we put our trust in caused harm. Hoping it is just a minor setback but Greg is still in pain today
His kidney stones are in check so far thank goodness. He has a stent in and he is on Flomax for it. Greg is taking Oxy and Tylenol for the pain (and aspirin for clotting) as he is not allowed ibuprofen due to the kidney stones.
As for your sister not being able to tolerate Oxy and other pain killers has she tried all of the options? If I recall correctly there are different classes of pain meds and she might be able to tolerate one class if not the others? There are pain management specialists and maybe she should consider going to one before the TKR to see what her options are? Wishing her lots of luck and all the best and I am here if I can be of any help whatsoever.
From what I understand ibuprofen is a good pain reliever. Just that Greg cannot be on it due to his kidney stones. So maybe that will give your sister the pain relief she needs? But I would urge her to seek care from a pain management specialist before the surgery to learn all her options. I find anesthesiologists also quite helpful re pain management.
The most critical thing with TKR is range of motion. Most important. And not to let scar tissue build up as that can only be removed with another surgery.

It is a whopper of a ring at 1.85 inch x 1.45 inch. But a perfect cocktail ring, and surprisingly, looks pretty fine even on my small hands. Diamonds are F-G, VS1-SI2, pear, marquise, and baguette. 18K white gold. An estate find.
