Hi all,

I'm new to the Forum here. I'm shopping for a E ring. I was looking at round, 1.7 to 2.0+ range, H or I, VS2 or SI1, Ex or Ideal cut. I am budgeting $20k for the diamond.

I came across this larger diamond that is AGS0, 2.38ct, I, SI1
It scores HCA 1.9

Is this worth investigating into further or will the crown/pavilion angles be a problem?

Here is the cert image:

And HCA

Thanks for the help

That combo isn't a problem.

I thought it would be shallow when I saw the number, but it looks like a beauty and it got an AGS000! I hope some experts chime in here for you.

Now with images...
I have this on hold but need to make a decision by tomorrow.

I really appreciate all of the information and participation of people on the forum here. I sometimes tend to over analyze so this has been perfect for me. I realize that this is probably already in the top few % of stones but it would be great to have more knowledgeable eyes weigh in here.

They look like they may have been taken at a slight angle, but other than that what do people think?

From the photo, it appears like the inclusion at 11:00 is pretty small and will be obscured by a prong.
Also in the photo, the feather at 4:00 is very light color and apparently is not visible to the eye. This is more visible in the Ideal Scope picture at 10:00.

Here is the in-hand assessment from the jewler:
This stone is super eye clean
with superb contrast brilliance, scintillation, and dispersion.

The primary graders are a white thin feather in a star facet
running into a bezel facet and a grey-white thin feather in the
opposite bezel facet. the entire center of the diamond
is VS-1 clarity clean. This is a knockout beauty of a diamond that we recommend without reservation.

little different than what we usually see around here.
Clearly the combo works.

It works in the images, but I am not sure that I would like the side view with a crown that low. I'd have to see a profile shot of the stone to know. But I believe one of the jewelers or appraisers said on a thread just this week that you may be getting into chipping danger territory with a crown angle that low. I personally would not buy it and would look for a crown in the 34-35 range. But it is certainly much nicer than most of the stones out there!
