Settings: which stores will set a diamond not from their store into their setting?

I doubt any of the "name brand" places will.

Your best bet for a designer-like setting would be to have a high quality designer make your ring such as leon mege if you are going for the designer look. Many other designers and local jewelers will set you diamond in one of their settings, but some won''t. You just have to ask to see who will and who won''t.

some mum and pop stores will not set other vendors diamonds these days - but the cream of jewelrs never ever would

I think if you''re at least buying the setting from a store you have a better chance of them setting your stone. None of the big big names you listed will b/c they sell the whole package.
