I saw this setting and haven''t been able to get it out of my mind!

I love the the contrast between the Tsavorite/black rhodium/rose gold!

It holds a 11x9 EC or a 12x10 oval.

I was thinking a Morganite or Kunzite would look nice set in it ---any other suggestions?

Gorgeous mounting! Even a nice African Amethyst would be good, if you''d like to go for contrast. I like green with purple.

Wow that''s really spectacular!

I do love contrast! An amethyst would look lovely :)

Oooh! I second the vote for Amethyst!

Wow -- that is so cool! Can I ask where you found it?

I was wondering the same! It is gorgeous! Anyone of those 3 stones would be gorgeous. I vote kunzite.....since I am a little biased...

Love that setting! May I ask where you found it?

I think a Kunzite or Amethyst would be great in it.

Oooh, that is neat! I think with the rose gold a Pad sapphire would look awesome. I like soft peachy orange colors with green like that.

Very cool setting!!!!!
I would say either kunzite or mnorganite if you want the stone to compliment or amethyst if you want it to contrast... either would look stunning.

wow gorgeous setting. Any stone in there would look spectacular

hmm, tsavs do appear to make some lovely melee. I would also like to know who is making the setting! Very interesting.. and pretty!

beautiful, i love the black rodium on some thing

wow, that setting is so unusual!! i can''t wait to see what you do with it!

I don''t have any brilliant suggestions but man, is that one GORGEOUS setting! Holy Man!

OMG...that setting is a stunner. It is so rich looking

!
I love the ideas that you have mentioned, but I think that I would love the Amethyst best!

Thanks all, I think its lovely too :) I''m thinking Amethyst or Kunzite still, the more I look at nice morganite-the more I prefer the other two! A fantastic EC diamond would do too! :) I purchased the setting from an online estate dealer-he also had an interesting setting with ruby melee that would be fun, it holds a 1ct oval or marquise!

I think a gorgeous Oval Tsavorite or blue sapphire would look lovely in it since they are kind of pinkish melee :)

I love Kunzites. In fact I have a loose oval one that''s been sitting around for a few years.

Don''t they pale if exposed to light too frequently?

I think they pale in bright sunlight.......at least that is what I read....

That is also what I''ve heard about Kunzite, keep it out of bright sunlight as much as possible to prevent fading. It will be sized and in my hot little hands this week-I can''t wait!!!

Maybe I''ll know what I should set in it soon!

According to John Ramsey the gemologist, they''ll only start to fade if kept in the display window of a store day in and day out. With normal human wear (LOL!) the color won''t change.

It''s coming today!!! :)

Woohoo!!!

Thanks for the imput, gemgirl. The stone I have is already kind of pale. . .it''s probably not the highest of quality.

It''s here and it''s beautiful!

I will take pics as soon as possible :)

I''m really feeling EC amethyst now that it''s on my finger! The Tsavs are gorgeous and sparkle like crazy, chameleons they are as well-dark to light green in different lighting.
