Hi all -

First time posting, I was wondering whether the color of the diamonds in an engagement ring setting should match the color of the center stone. My girlfriend is interested in a thin pave setting with an emerald cut center stone.

Thanks for the help!

The color of tiny pave stones won't matter because they are going to appear bright and white if well cut no matter the color. So if the center stone is a lower color, then yes, there will be some color contrast.

The center stone will most likely be G in color. I wasn't sure if it would be a bad idea to pick a setting with the pave stones being H average

No, that won't matter. Most high quality pave settings will have F-G melee stones minimum. You can't see their color. They will look sparkly and white. There is no issue with a G center stone. You'll be fine!
