Setting to make my diamond look bigger?

So I have a 1.4 carat transitional round cut diamond, H color set in platinum. It's a family heirloom with a setting that's very low profile and makes my diamond look smaller than it really is. Any setting suggestions to make my diamond look bigger, besides halos which I'm not too fond of? Maybe set it high on the finger? Prong suggestions - thick versus thin? Any suggestions are welcome! Thank you in advance!

That picture is a little small. Can you crop it and make the rings larger and repost?

If you don't like halos, how about an antique style bezel? The only other thing I can really think of is adding side stones.

This one is by SingleStone.

Ohhh, and another option is the CVB Inspired Design Elsa solitaire.

Is this photo better now? I was thinking the higher the diamond off the finger, the bigger it appears to the eye? So I was guessing very high prongs and a thinner band?

That's much better. Thinner band (shank), yes. Very high, no, that makes your stone more vulnerable to be hit on something and chip or crack or even get loose from the prongs. Medium height is fine. But I honestly don't think the height is going to make a big difference. Going with a 2mm shank will help a little. Delicate claw prongs will show more of the diamond.

How many mm high off the finger would you consider medium height? Definitely agree about the 2mm band. Thank you for all your help!! :)

You are welcome!

That depends on the setting style you choose. Height off the finger is partially determined by the depth of the stone. Here is a ring I used to have with a 1.5 ct diamond. I consider it medium height. I did previously have a lower setting.

I am having trouble posting pictures tonight! I attach one and then another one that I deleted earlier posts! Let me try again!

Something like this Erika Winter's Victoria solitaire would do the trick, I think
