(Sorry, should this go to the coloured stones section? I'm so confused here. )

Hi, I just recently purchased a pink champagne diamond from Leibish and I was wondering of two possible setting options.

Firstly, this is the stone I purchased.

It's more of a mauve taupe shade. It almost seems bi-colour. (What an unusual shade! It's so unique, I love it.)

I'm thinking of:
a) bezeling it in 18k YG east-west and making a floating pendant - like those taupe & gold combination on handbags? I guess this is the first idea I had when I saw the stone, but then I saw their new pictures... seemed more purplish and saturated.
b) set it in RG, in their mini bail pendant setting to bring out the stone more? (It's a pretty petite one.) But I'm super picky on colours, so I'm a bit worried the colours may "clash". I'm even thinking of YG or WG here too.

Would love to hear different ideas! And thanks in advance! :wink2:

I hope you get many suggestions. This is a pretty diamond with enough pink that you don't need a strong imagination to actually see the color. My own feeling is that yellow gold lends itself to increasing the visibility of yellow and brown tints, where rose gold might appear to increase the visual impact of pink coloration present in this diamond.

Have fun making something special.

Rose gold, absolutely!

Thanks! With your assistance, decided on a simple prong rose gold solitaire!
I'll post pics on Pricescope once it's here!

pretty diamond!! definitely rose gold although I'd probably also do a colorless diamond halo to make the pink pop more against your skin. Sometimes pink/brown diamonds in rose gold can blend with skin tones (they definitely do with mine!!).
