What a cool stone! It's hard to really say without seeing it in person, but I'm actually thinking darker sapphires rather than lighter. Not blackish, but darker than the ones that marymm posted. I just think the contrast would be better and would still play up the center stone.

I actually do kin of like the idea of black diamonds. Which I'm surprised they aren't usually my cup of tea. But like black diamond halo in yellow gold? Ballsy but could be fabulous if done right.

Bezel in black enamel...!

OMG-Niel and Yssie That could be the bomb with this stone! I love art deco rings with black onyx halos and I love black rhodium plating over WG so black it is if I can find something cool. Kind of a goth statement ring. It would look great with YG.

Who would make something like that? I'm going thru the rings on greenwich, they have some unusual designers.

Rosebloom-Coatis ring and Packrats ring are in my top ten favorites! If I ever have the budget for a custom three stone I would choose something similar to those. They are fabulous!!!

i have no idea where where you could get it done and i dont know of anybody on here where someone has had that work done.

now i dont think the style is really you, but the colors seem similar, and i like how they go together

I have a darker sapphire I can bring on Saturday if you want to see it next to your stone. It's set in a three stone ring, but as least we can look at the light/dark factor next to each other.

I have a darker sapphire I can bring on Saturday if you want to see it next to your stone. It's set in a three stone ring, but as least we can look at the light/dark factor next to each other.

Please bring it,I would love to see it! Hopefully with everyones input I will be able to pick a direction to go in for this setting.

Me too Julie! I saved it a while back, I have no idea if it's still available. I love onyx with old cut stones.

You got the calico sapphire ! I noticed this one on the site and thought it was really cool looking. Can't wait to see what it looks like set.
