Hi friends! I just got this beautiful garnet from Finewater Gems! It is 7.5 mm round rubelite garnet, hearts and arrows cut. It sparkles beautifully in the sun! It's a little dark in the shade.
My husband said it looks like Dorothy's slippers the first time he saw the garnet!
So do you think it will perform better in a halo setting or a 6 prong solitaire. I have both currently, bought both preloved.
The halo is a stunning DK ring that holds a light pink tourmaline. The tourmaline is beautiful but a bit light for my liking. I actually bought the garnet to go into this setting.
Or put the garnet into this BG classic 6 prong setting, which is empty currently.
The 6 prong might need a new head to accommodate the larger gem and it has to be sized up for my finger.
Which setting do you think is best for this garnet? And do you think this garnet is a winner? Thanks everyone!
