Hello asscher lovers! I have been reading your posts and lusting over your diamonds for a while now.
The other day my boyfriend proposed with a beautiful 1.5 carat loose asscher - couldn't be happier!!
So now I get to build the perfect setting :)

I have some pretty clear ideas about what I want but can't find pics of anything that close. I don't want any other diamonds on the band, and I want it to sit as low as possible however not in a bezel.

I really love filigree and milgrain patterns and would love a platinum band with a filigree design, but I can't find anywhere what this might look like!! I'm also not sure if it could be too much detail and detract from the diamond??

If anyone has any ideas or pics they would like to share I would love to hear / see them :) I have attached a links to some Philip Press bands that are the closest I have found so far (just minus the diamonds on the bands)

I would post a pic but am still on holidays so can do that when I get home and borrow my friends proper camera.

Thanks!!

I think you should do a search on Victor Canera's website and have a look at his work. I am communicating with him and he is excellent in terms of communication and passion about the product.

The designs you linked and liked are right up his alley as well. A search on the threads here will show you some examples of his work and it appears to be excellent.

Thank you for that! I can't see any settings without diamonds so maybe I will send an email. What sort of ring are you having made??

I have just found some more inspiration here... It's more simple but maybe that's better??

I know there are a lot of similar threads here re asscher settings, I would just love to see / hear from someone with an asscher in an intricate setting that doesn't involve any extra diamonds :)

I have an asscher and looked for settings for a long time. I love Sheldon Speyer for the vintage, engraved look you want... they make each ring to order and can order any shaped center with their settings and their quality is awesome. Good Old Gold used to carry the line. You can call them up and ask them for online catalog pics if they still work with the company.

If you want custom I also recommend Victor and if you have a very large budget Mc2 (amazing stuff) http://mc2jewels.com/

If you are anywhere near LA... Singlestone and 23rd Street Jewelers are stores you must check out. And if you are in San Francisco then Langs and Darren McClung.

Great minds, similar tastes. :Up_to_something: When I was setting shopping that was one of my top ten contenders. If my asscher were larger than it is, I would have picked that setting.

Asscher Aussie-- Lil's setting, without sidestones and with engraving and some more milgrain would be stunning for your stone as well. She worked with Brian Gavin Diamonds for her setting and they do have a very talented engraver (someone here got a lovely hand engraved setting by them) as part of their bench.

How exciting! I love asschers. :appl: I can't wait to see what you get.

Thanks so much everyone! Im a bit far from the US in Aussie land which makes it hard for some of those beautiful designers but I can take inspiration :) my fiancé said it was near impossible to even find a jeweler is aus that had an asscher, let alone a good one so this next process should be interesting!

Thanks again

Oh wow that is fantasic!! Thank you so much!!
