Hello all, I've got a question for you.

I'm looking to buy an engagement ring for my girlfriend, and I've been looking at settings. I found a few that come in a pave/sidestone style that I think look nice and fit within my budget. However, all those little stones make me wonder how well they hold. Do I have to worry about those stones falling out after X number of years? How's the craftsmanship of Blue Nile, Gabriel and Co, James Allen and Whiteflash? Any significant difference among them? I'll post links of a few settings I'm considering.

Her rings size is about a 5.5. Any advice is much appreciated.

Of those, I would trust WF most, then Gabriel. But I will just add that I like the Legato sleekline more than that one.

Thanks for the help! I have a better idea of what to do now.

Pave is not made equal and sometimes not even equal from the same shop. I acquired a pave setting not too long ago (I love pave) and it had multiple missing melee when it arrived. I checked it out under the loupe and was surprised at how uneven the pave was. I took it to Steven Kirsch to fix it up for me... he joked with me around where the heck I found such a setting (cuz it was so badly made and he knows what a stickler I am for good pave work).
