Setters in Manhattan?

Can anyone recommend a good setter in Manhattan? I''m planning to buy a sapphire or tsavorite (to start my gemstone collection!!!) but have no idea where to go for setting. Help! It seems that most PSers buy settings from online retailers and then bring them to jewelers to get them set?
