Hi Guys
The stone is back from the cutters; They put on 4 corners and dug out the remaining damage.

Any Idea what to call it, Still displays H&A

Johan
a one of a kind octagon = OKN or HAOKN and sell it to a japanese - that must mean something in Japanese?

Weight loss etc Johan?

Gary
Weight recovery pretty good. weight now 1.065cts. clarity did not improve though.
DCLA still gives SI1 even though it lost one small feather, perhaps they felt the table inclusion was more than vs2.
Attached a IS image if anyone interested

okay after seeing the IS I no longer thing it''s wonky - musta been an angle in the last shot - and wow, that''s really a cool looking stone! I like how 4 corners are straight and 4 sides are just everso slightly curved from original cut. I can''t believe that''s all the stone lost also... amazing!

Yes Cehrabehra
In the first image the stone was not totally square to the lens. In the IS image I used one of Gary''s trays with a tapered hole and machined groove for the idealscope.

Wow - it came out beautiful without Sara''s glue gun afterall!

bahahahaha that''s right!! Maybe I can just glue gun it to my existing ring - that way those ugly prongs won''t cover it up! ;)

I''d love to see a pic of it in the crease of two fingers or in other normal size sorts of environs

Huh, this disaster actually turned out to have a quite beautiful ending. However, I do hope you didn''t have to pay for any of the costs and were compensated for the lost carat weight.

Beautiful cut, I love it!! The shape is amazing and it has a pretty nice IS.
