I''m thinking about buying this ring. It comes with G-H , VS1- SI2 baguettes, but I can request for more money, of course, E,VS! baguettes.

Total ct. weight for 11 stones is 3.00-3.10

I did not ask about using radiants so I do not know if that is possible but I want E color and VS1 clarity regardless and I want lots of scintillation, light return and fire.

What are your thoughts on using radiants instead of baguettes?

What about going for E ,VS1 instead of the "stock"" G-H, VS1- SI2?

SI2 for large baguettes doesn't sound cool to me. Wonder what's up with the large range (VS-Si2) for these diamonds, I know that melee sizes come with split grades, but not this much split.


Btw, 'split grades' means that there will be some range - say E-F/ VS rather than straight E/VS1. It makes no difference... small diamonds come graded like this anyway.


Radinats! Fine... if you can find any. Band rings with radiants are a bit unusual (and quite beautiful nonetheless). If this shop doesn't have them, you may find some examples that come along with the 'Original Radaint' cut (see www.radiantcut.com ).
And if baguettes don't do it, and radiants are nowhere to be found, there are a couple of branded fancy shapes cut as more brilliant versions of the typical baguette (the 'Prince' cut, something called 'baguillion' believe it or not, and there may be others - these have their own websites).

Speaking of baguettes - the picture looks a tad funny... I mean, if those 11 baguettes are 3cts total, I would imagine they'd be longer and the ring wider.


How much is the E/VS version? Larger baguettes should be more pricey than the smaller ones that make up a 3-4 cts full eternity band (like THIS) and quite unusual, and very impressive

On the same website, there is a smaller version with radiants (THIS) - custom orders are feasible, so you might want to drop a line for an alternative quote. The shop has a ton of feedback on this forum, if needed.
