I posted about this ring as an upgrade before but it was out of our price range. Called the jeweler back to find out status of yellow diamonds they were bringing in for me and they lowered the price on the original ring, saying they may as well lower it instead of hunting for new stones and building a ring from scratch.
It is still $1000 over what we wanted to spend, though. Maybe they will come down a bit more. But first, what are the thoughts on this stone? Last time I bought my diamond loose so this is a little different. I don''t know the exact price of the stone by itself. I''m concerned because it is deep, but I read somewhere this can intensify the color?
GIA Cert:
Cushion Modified brilliant
7.33 x 6.67 x 4.71
2.17 carat
Natural Fancy Yellow
even distribution
VS2
good polish and symmetry
medium blue flor
Notes on diamond diagram:
Table 71%
Depth 70.6 %
culet none
Girdle- very thick
and another note that say extremely think (faceted) under girdle note
My trade in is $12,100 this will be an additional $11,000 including the mounting which she said was $6,500. That probably does not help evaluating the stone though!
