I could be wrong about the K grade, I honestly don''t remember the whole story and too lazy to look for it. I just remember there were a few discrepencies between the cert and the appraisers.
But I agree that it doesn''t make AGS less strict. No lab is perfect, but at least GIA/AGS are consistant
I do recall a K grade too - I was just trying to explain why that appraiser may have had that large of a differing opinion by the size of the stone (which is way I was saying I would go with the colorimeter in comparing it to the AGS report for very large stones)
 
I did not base my decision to send the stone back due to a colorimeter reading. As I had stated before, the stone was placed next to master stones and my G stone was had a stronger hue than the H.

G color is usually perfect for me but this one just happened not to work out.

The vendor is currently working on finding a replacement stone. I should know a little more info by tomorrow.
